We handle the worldwide, independent marketing of third-party embryos. Thanks to our neutral position, your interests are always paramount. Third-party semen

We supervise the storage, processing and worldwide distribution of third-party semen. Thanks to years of experience and accurate handling, you are assured of quality and reliability. We support both fresh, chilled and frozen semen, focusing on results, accessibility and your specific needs as a breeder or stallion owner.

EU-Approved Partner

As an EU-Approved station, we comply with all European directives for storage, collection and export of genetic material. This guarantees quality, safety and international applicability. Mare Guidance

Every mare is unique. That's why at Holstud we offer personal guidance on your mare's fertility, mating and pregnancy. With modern equipment, experienced guidance and direct connection to our EU station, we ensure the best possible chance of a successful pregnancy.

Intake & Introduction

We will discuss the mare's background, previous experience, your wishes (which stallion?) and together create a customized guidance plan.

Insemination at the right time

Based on cycle data, the mare is professionally inseminated with fresh, chilled or frozen semen - from in-house or external stallions.

Gestation check (14-16 days after insemination)

We check by ultrasound to see if the mare is pregnant. If necessary, a second check follows to rule out a possible twin pregnancy.

Cycle Research & Planning

The mare's cycle is monitored by ultrasound (scanning). We measure the development of the follicles and check the uterine condition. This is how we determine the optimal mating moment.

Recheck & possible repetition

If the mare is not immediately pregnant, we repeat the process with adjustment based on the previous result. We continue to monitor closely.

Aftercare & Advice

We check by ultrasound to see if the mare is pregnant. If necessary, a second check follows to rule out a possible twin pregnancy.
